St. George Ministry Teams
Altar Servers
Males above the age of 8 may help serve at the Holy Altar.
Prayer/Psalter
Organized prayer for anyone who is sick or suffering, as well as, Join in reading the Psalter for the deceased.
Spiritual Involvement
Help plan Lenten and Advent Retreats; help provide spiritually edifying articles or stories on the back of monthly calendars.
Ushers/Greeters
Help with ushering during services, and other special duties of church etiquette as well as greet visitors, prospective members & members to help them feel welcome.
Book Store
Help organize and manage merchandise in the bookstore during the week and help customers on Sundays.
Coffee Hour
Help set up the hall for Sunday Coffee Hour after Liturgy, with the intention of promoting fellowship amongst parishioners.
Library
Help organize and maintain the library and inventory. Help parishioners check out/in books after Sunday Liturgy.
Shut-In & Visitation/Sunshine
With a Priest, conduct day time visits, call, write, and pray with the sick, elderly parishioners as well as send “sympathy” or “get well soon” cards on behalf of St. George
OCPM
Bring the love of Christ to prisoners, those reentering society, and their family members.
Senior Ministry
Join this group for monthly bus trips to various locations for fellowship, relaxation, education and adventure
Community Outreach
Assist in outreaching to the community with activities such as the Food Pantry and St. Abramios, also with events such as the CCSE Luncheon, CPS Party and St. George Day.
St. Sophia Mom’s Group
Open to Orthodox Christian mothers with children of all ages. Meet regularly for prayer, fellowship, and support
